Electric and water:
All electric installations like fuse and switches are located at starboard side aft cabin. All water systems like pumps and valves is located at portside aft cabin.
Inverter:
If inverter dont work (see if microwave is on) you must reset the system by switching off the main fuse located in the hatch under the bed in the rear cabin (starboard side) . Please note that the navigation instruments are also switched off. Always have a person at the board position on the flybridge. Wait 20 minutes before switching on the eberspracher heating system (if switched on).
Electric fans and other 220V systems:
Do not use electric fan heaters in salons or cabins when the generator is not running or not on connected shore power. It is a 16A system that can withstand about 3.6KW. Generator is 11KW. Microwave oven can be run on inverter, but not at the same time as eg coffee machine. Switch off the inverter (in the main cabinet) before going to bed. This ensures that no one starts 220V systems on battery power.
Life jackets:
Life jackets Always wear life jackets when moving on deck. Skipper's responsibility
Fire-fighting equipment:
Familiarize yourself with where the equipment is. One device under the captain's table in the saloon, one device on the bench in the cockpit and one automatic device in each engine room. Fire blankets are in each cabin and by the kitchen. Test each fire alarm before sailing.
Freshwater leackage:
There is a freshwater leackage at starbordside (from fabric delivery). Always switch off waterpump during night.
Heating:
It is installed Eberspracher 2 x 5KW diesel heater system - water system. Approx every second day refill system (Blue coolant water) tank is located in both engine room. While in use, make sure that all fan ans system in cabins is switched on. If you need to re-start, always wait 20 min before starting.
There is webaste heating 5 KW in Cockpit. + Defroster heating warm water from starboard engine (located in bench).
Sailing maps:
It is Skipper's responsibility that there are paper maps on board for the planned sailing area before the voyage starts. Maps can be purchased at a local bookstore in Tromsø., Norli Bokhuset: www.norli.no / +47 776 83 036 / bokhuset.tromso@norli.no / Storgata 86, 9253 Tromsø (PO Box 295, 9253 Tromsø) The digital map on the vessel navigation system is only as support for paper maps as the only valid! The skipper must also ensure that the paper maps for the sailing area have the latest endorsements (EFS date) . Lazy bag - Wintersailing - important!
When using a mainsail on winter sailing, it is important that the Lazy bag is closed to prevent snow from getting in. This will freeze to ice when the temperature changes. Then the sail will not be able to be raised
AIS:
The AIS system only works when Master screen is set to be in Saloon!
Generator:
When using generator, check that seawater is flowing in the seawater filtertank. If not, check fuse, check if seawater pump is running (under deck starboard side close to door in front cain, under white protection plate. Check seawater inlet system, valves.
Fishing:
When fishing, make sure that the fishing line never get into propellar area. Prevent the fishing hook from hitting the hull of the boat. You should not throw the fishing hook, but drop it straight down to the bottom. Take it up about 1m and pull the fishing hook up and down. Use the hook to take the fish on board. Always clean fishing blood from deck! If loosing fishing hook, price is EUR 15. each. Pay for lost hooks when arrive.
Dinghy:
Ensure that the stopper (preventing seawater from entering the boat) is attached to the bottom of the dinghy before putting it on the sea. Make sure there is enough fuel in the tank before driving.
Mooring:
When mooring the boat with vertical quay posts, always lay the wooden plank (located on the starboard side) outside the fenders. Arrange access to the quay before (if possible) you dock and always remember to pay before you sail.

Alcohol :
Note that in Norway you have to buy wine and strong alcoholic beverages at Vinmonopolet (special shops) which are located at Nerstranda shopping center in the city center. Opening hours are 10: 00-18: 00, but on Saturdays it is 10:00 - 15:00. Beer can be bought in regular shops until 18:00

First aid kit: The first aid kit is in one of the drawers in the saloon.
In an emergency, it is important to know where to turn for help. At sea, this can apply both in the event of personal injuries or in the event of an accident / grounding.
